My almost-5-year-old attended a reading with Louise as part of the Boyle Arts Festival, and enjoyed it so much that I've now read him the whole series, and we've just ordered the second series too! It's a lovely pace, exciting but not too scary, and a lovely length too. He has already said he wants to read it all again, and can't wait until he learns to read so he can read them to his younger sister (currently age 1!).
Special bonuses for anyone from/with connections to Donegal- our Grandad lives near Downings beach, which got a mention!
My grandson started reading the first Dragonterra book yesterday evening and boy has it gripped his attention. He couldn't put it down. We all very much look forward to the next book and the next book and then Series 2. It really is magical seeing our Grandson so engrossed and then listening to him explain what is happening in the book to us. Thank you Louise.
Hi Louise, Evan, Conor and Lucy.
I finished Dragonterra Returns over Christmas. The books were fascinating because each chapter made me excited to read on. My Mammy had to take the books from my room, because she caught me reading when I should have been sleeping. The sky sharks were my favourite new characters because they came to the rescue in book five. I would love one of the invisibility cloaks to play tricks on my brothers. All boys and girls should read these books. I'm away to read them all over again. Please please please can we have some more. P.S Thank you for my Aleeze teddy.
I am a teacher in Letterkenny and have enjoyed reading these books to my 2 nd class - a lot of the children have the books read yet they still LOVE to be read to aloud.
My own daughter Aoife is smitten with all aspects of the adventurous stories. Like many other parents I promise a chapter a night but of course that never ever happens- one chapter more often becomes three or four !!!!
Aoife loves to see the Donegal references and lights up when Rathmullan , Letterkenny etc get a mention . I have bought these books for my daughter’s friends, they are great birthday gifts especially for 1st-3rd class children . I can’t recommend these books enough .
Eddie heard a talk you gave on a Zoom Call in his school. Was very interested in getting the 1st Series and used his birthday money to walk to our local post office to see if they sold them, as he didn't want to wait for online order 😂. Eddie is absolutely delighted with the storyline thinks it's so magical and he loves to escape in to the Dragonterra world 😊.
